In the highly commercialized, increasingly homogeneous
landscapes we live in, painting can be a refuge--a place
where it is possible to enliven a connection to soul/spirit.
I strive to make art that comes from "the deep
heart's core" to borrow a phrase from poet William
Butler Yeats-a place to return to again and again for
introspection, refuge, reverie and renewal. Blurring
the (false) boundary between representation and abstraction,
my work is deliberately ambiguous and develops during
the process of engaging with paint and other media.
Sandra studied art at the University of Wisconsin and
attended the Rhode Island School of Design. She has
studied art with Gregory Amenoff, in Provincetown and
has worked with Joan Snyder. Aarons Krupp's work has
been exhibited throughout the US, and shown internationally
in Ireland and Scotland.
