Arline Jacoby's eyes, mind and hands excite one another
into a creative process. Multimedia is her artistic
language translating the plasticity of paint and clay,
the hardness of stone and the allure of color. The work
ranges from classic drawings and paintings to universal
concerns. It can be playful or polemical.
Arline Jacoby studied art at Tyler University in Philadelphia
and Adelphi University in NY. She later worked in the
marble yards and foundries at Petrasanta, Italy. Besides
working creatively for many years as an artist and teacher,
she had the vision for, and established the Roosevelt
Island NY Art association, where she now lives.
